Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R (Six-eyed Demon / ZZR1400) Fairing

Q: What is the difference between ZX-14R 2006-2011 fairing and ZX-14R 2012-2022 fairing? Can they be interchanged?

A: These two generations of Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R (also known as Six-eyed Demon / ZZR1400) fairings are NOT interchangeable. They have major differences in headlight cutout, front nose shape, side fairing lines and tail assembly.

• ZX-14R 2006–2011 (First Gen, ZXT40A, original six-eye design)
  Head cowl / nose fairing: Famous six-lamp headlight layout (3 lamps on each side, the classic "Six-eyed Demon" design). The front nose is narrower and more pointed.
  Side fairings: Distinct layered side panel shape, unique side air duct profile exclusive to this generation.
  Tail fairing: Slimmer tail cowl, tail light opening and seat cowl shape only match the 2006–2011 subframe.
  Mounting points: All pre-drilled holes and inner bracket positions fit the original 2006–2011 frame.
• ZX-14R 2012–2022 (Second Gen, ZXT40E, revised six-eye facelift)
  Head cowl / nose fairing: Redesigned nose, the six-eye headlight surround contour is reshaped. The front nose is wider, bulkier and more rounded.
  Side fairings: Completely reworked side panel lines and side air intake vents, cannot fit the 2006–2011 side covers.
  Tail fairing: Brand-new wider tail assembly, different tail light cutout and rear cowl outline.
  Mounting points: Bracket and hole positions are redesigned for the updated 2012+ subframe.
