Q: What are the differences and compatibility of fairings for Honda CBR900RR 893, 919, 929 and 954 Fireblade?

All four models belong to Honda CBR900RR Fireblade series, but each generation uses a completely separate fairing mold, body contour and mounting hole layout. Fairing kits CANNOT cross-fit between any of these versions. Please carefully confirm your motorcycle model and production year before ordering.

1. CBR900RR 893 (SC28) | 1992–1993
This is the original first-generation Fireblade. It features two independent round dual headlights, with a distinctive front nose fairing with large oval cutouts. The side fairings have unique perforated panel details and rounded outer profile, paired with a short, compact tail section. The upper cowl, side panels, tail fairing, tank cover and front fender are all made with this dedicated mold. The mounting brackets and hole positions are exclusive to 1992-1993 893 model.

2. CBR900RR 919 (SC28) | 1994–1995
It is a revised update of the SC28 platform. The most obvious change is the new "Tiger Eye" irregular multi-reflector integrated headlight assembly, replacing the older twin round lamps. The front nose shape is redesigned, side fairing contours are reshaped for smoother aerodynamics, and the tail cowl is restyled with modified mounting points. Although the engine displacement was upgraded to 919cc, the frame is still SC28, but the body shell structure has changed significantly.
❌ Cannot interchange fairings with the 1992-1993 893 version.

3. CBR900RR 929 (SC33) | 2000–2001
Full major redesign of the Fireblade. The bike adopts a single large central headlight. The whole fairing set has sharper, more aggressive angular lines. Upper cowl, side lower panels, tail fairing and tank cover are all brand new molds. The frame, front suspension and fairing mounting brackets are completely different from the old SC28 series. The tail section is longer and more tapered compared to SC28 generations.
❌ Fairing panels cannot be fitted to 893 or 919 models.

4. CBR900RR 954 (SC44) | 2002–2003
The final evolution of the CBR900RR Fireblade before renamed to CBR1000RR. Compared with 929, it comes with revised headlight shape, slimmer and sharper tail fairing, reshaped side cowls and optimized air intake openings. Even though the overall body style looks similar to the 929, the fairing mold, panel curves and all mounting hole positions are different.
❌ 954 fairings are NOT interchangeable with 929 fairings.

Summary reminder:
893 / 919 / 929 / 954 each use unique body molds. No cross-generation compatibility. Mixing fairings from different generations will result in mismatched holes, poor panel gaps and impossible installation. Double-check your bike VIN and year before purchase.

Q: What kind of packaging do you use? Will the fairings get damaged during shipping? A: Our motorcycle fairings are individually wrapped with thick bubble foam, then packed firmly inside a heavy-duty 7-layer corrugated export carton. Every corner of the fairing set is fully padded for shock protection. We adopt strict packaging procedures before shipment to minimize impact risks in transit.
